32 weeks: 7th Prenatal Checkup

Today, went alone to see Doc Dolly Wee as hubby needed to be at office.

Anyway, checkup was pretty normal. Doctor commented that baby's head has already turned down! So means I can have natural birth. However, doctor also commented that baby's head is alittle big but can still try natural birth. Doctor also commented baby has big nose~ Well, shall see when baby's out. :D

I gained another 3kg~ Total weight gain is 11kg as of now! Now I'm weighing at 59kg!!

Here's my baby bump update:

28 weeks: 6th Prenatal Checkup

Finally I'm now in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy which is 7 months :)

Was supposed to see the doctor today. However, went to see doctor earlier on 20 Nov 2013 instead as something happened.

Here is what happened:

On the 19 Nov 2013, upon returning home at around 7pm, I found some pink spotting on my panty liner. And when I wipe, there was also pink stain on the tissue. I panicked and call up hubby immediately. He told me to call up Mount E and seek for advise.

The doctor advised me to head down to the hospital immediately if I am still experiencing spotting after 1 hour. At around 7.30pm, hubby returned home. I was still having spotting and hubby decided that we should just head down to hospital to find out what's wrong instead of waiting and worrying.

At about 8.15pm, we reached Mount E and I was taken to the delivery suite immediately. I was asked to changed, and this was when I saw the pink spotting becoming bright red spotting. It was scary!

Anyway, I was strapped on for the next 1 hour or so to monitor baby's heartbeat. At around 10pm, the "back-up" doctor (Dr. Dolly was away and only back the next day) reached and examine me. I was told by the doctor that there wasn't any blood coming from my vagina or any open cut outside. She wasn't sure where the spotting came from. However, she said that as long as I was not having pain or contractions, and that baby was constantly active and moving, I am fine to leave the hospital.

The doctor also told me to visit Dr. Dolly Wee the next day for a check-up again.  So ya, that's about it. What a scary experience.

So the next day at 11am, paid a visit at Dr. Dolly's and told her the whole incident. She was like not surprised at all and commented that we youngsters see a little blood get so "excited", etc. Haha! She assured us that it's not unusual to see some spotting at this stage of pregnancy and long as I'm not having pain and contractions every 10 mins. Then, we proceeded to do an ultrasound. Doctor measured the baby and said that baby is in good size at 28-30 weeks :) She also checked my vagina and said there's no blood too. Hmm..

Anyway, since both doctors reassured me that baby is fine than I gladly accept it, although the spotting part is a little disturbing :P

Enough of stories, here is my baby bump update:

*Side note: I gained 2kg and am now 56kg!!*

My next appointment is in 3 weeks time. Till then :)

24 weeks: 5th Prenatal Checkup

The check-up was pretty fast and nothing much :P

I have gained 2kg since the last check-up. 53.9kg as of now.  Doctor commented that my weight gain is not too bad, and that perhaps its due to water retention thus my 3kg weight gain the previous month.

So.....  Means that no big baby, no risk of gestational diabetics  :D

I think my baby bump is so so much bigger as compared to last month :P

Anyway, the nurse told me that I got to decide on which hospital to deliver. Either Mount. Alvernia or Mount. Elizabeth. Hmm...  Tough decision.

20 weeks: 4nd Prenatal Checkup

Finally! I'm halfway through my pregnancy :))

So.. 4th check-up was pretty fast.

Doctor commented that I gained so much weight :/ 3 kg since the last check-up.

During the scan:

• Doctor commented that its a big baby
• Saw baby's brain, two hands, two legs, spine, heart 4 chamber.
• Saw the baby's nose. Doctor commented that he has high nose. LOL
• Was told baby size is good. In fact bigger at about 21 weeks instead of 20 weeks
• Re-confirmed that its a baby boy :D
• Saw the baby moving  

After the scan:

• Doctor told me to control my diet if not I might get gestational diabetics
• Doctor told me to double my iron supplement intake as I have low iron from the previous blood test result.

That's about it. Hopefully I will only gain 1kg by next check-up :(

Baby Movements

I'm now blogging while having class. 

Although I have been feeling the baby movement in my tummy since last week. But right now while I'm at school, I needed to record this down ASAP as I just experienced a "vigorous" baby movement. HAHA

It's really a amazing feeling :))

  

16 weeks: 3rd prenatal Checkup + Baby Gender Reveal

My fiancé and myself were looking forward to see baby again today. That's because we guess we might be able to find our baby's gender since I'm already into 16 weeks.

Anyway, like usual doctor Dolly asked if I have any health issues blah blah, said my weight is still the same at 49kg and commented its fine. Then proceeded to scanning.

During the scan:

• Saw baby's head, two hands, two legs, spine, heart beat.
• Was told baby is of correct size at week 16.
• Saw the baby moving

I was hoping that the doctor will be able to see the baby's gender, and I was focusing on the screen anticipating, and she.....

...... pointed at the screen and announced that its what my future 2nd sister-in-law wanted (she is also currently preggy and under doctor dolly)....

And I answered: "It's a BOY?!"

HAHA..

Doctor Dolly nodded her head and said yes and even showed the zoomed in the screen which I can see the little boyhood very clearly :P

Was very happy because I wanted a little boy first. However, my fiancé was a little disappointed since he wanted a baby girl first. But nonetheless, he was still happy and quickly SMS-ed his family members :))

Oh ya. And had routine urine test and blood taking. And paid for our package which cost about $1,250. :X

Entering Second Trimester

Today officially entering second trimester :)

Up to now,

- Sudden nauseous at times, but no vomiting
- Sudden sharp pain in lower abdomen . Guess its due to growing womb.
- Breakout on face- small little pimples with pus :(
- Tummy not showing up yet, though its a little bigger now
- Constipation. Now trying eat more fibre food
- Dislike eating chicken
- Craving for bread and cheese :P

Can't wait to see baby soon during the next check up :P
